Lane Sanders

Lane Sanders lives and performs all over the San Francisco Bay Area. He studied at San Jose State University under orchestral instruction of Galen Lemmon, and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance, and a Masters Degree of Music in Percussion Performance.

As a rudimental player, Lane was a member of Santa Clara Vanguard/Vanguard Cadets, and was also in SJSU’s Marching Band Drumline as section leader - then eventually as an instructor and arranger. He has had over 15 years of experience writing, arranging, and teaching for many high school marching bands, drumlines, and percussion ensembles in the San Jose/South Bay/East Bay area. As an orchestral player, Lane has been a guest musician with the Monterey County Pops, Berkeley Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Silicon Valley and the Air Force Band of the Golden West.

Lane's primary work however is in musical theater, where he has been a prominent gigging drummer/percussionist in the Bay Area over the past decade. Recent credits include: Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of the Temptations (Berkeley Repertory Theatre - this show is premiering on Broadway Fall of 2018), Next To Normal (Broadway By The Bay), Altar Boyz (Center Rep), Bat Boy (Los Altos Stage Company), The Rocky Horror Show (RH South Bay), and Seth Rudetsky's Concert For America (Curran, San Francisco - a charity event featuring Alan Cumming, Faith Prince, Shoshana Bean, Jane Lynch, and more).
