JD Shoemaker

JD Shoemaker was born and raised in a small town near Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has spent over 25 years playing, teaching, and recording.
He studied music theory at Tulsa University and uses practical applications he learned as part of his teaching program. He has maintained a strong student load since 1992 at Drum World in Tulsa Oklahoma. He’s spent over 25 years playing with bands and artists like Grady Nichols, Kristin Nichole band, The Tiptons, and many more. He currently plays for Kevin Price and Closers, and The Jon Moody Band. He’s played for numerous Churches including Church on the Move, Destiny, Victory Christian Center, NorthStar Church, and currently plays for Bethany church, and Adventist Fellowship. JD is frequently called on to do studio sessions and has recorded on projects in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Wimberley TX, and Nashville TN.
